Cold Wave Conditions In Many Parts Of Odisha As Twenty Places Report Less Than 15 Degrees; G Udaygiri Coldest
Bhubaneswar: Many places of Odisha have started showing cold wave conditions with temperatures dipping less than eight degrees at several places. G Udaygiri in Kandhamal district was the coldest place in Odisha with the minimum temperature going down to 7. 2 degrees last night. Likewise, Semiliguda in Koraput district reported 9 degrees Celsius. Twenty places of Odisha have reported temperatures below 15 degrees – Phulbani ( 10.5), Koraput (11), Daringbadi (11), Bhabanipatna (11), Kirei ( 11.5), Chipilima (12), Jharsuguda (12.6), Keonjhar(13), Deogarh (13), Hirakud (13.3), Boudh (13.5), Ranital (13.5), Sundargarh (14), Anugul (14), Mahisaphat (14.5), Nayagarh (14,5), Sonepur (14.6), and Sambaplur (14.9). While capital city Bhubaneswar reported 16 degrees Celsius, Cuttack reported 16. 4 degrees.
The Meteorological Department has said that there will not be any major change in night temperature in the next three to four days.
