Bhubaneswar: Coldwave conditions continue to hamper normal life in many places of Odisha. Sudden drop in temperature especially during night times accompanied by foggy conditions were reported in many districts of interior and north western Odisha. More than ten cities recorded mercury below ten degrees in the last 24 hours. According to the IMD, the condition is likely to prevail in the next few days.
While Kirei in Sundargarh and G Udayagiri in Kandhamal reported 8 Degrees Celsius, Many places in Angul, Koraput and Keonjhar reported temperatures below 9 degrees. Twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack reported 13. 5 Degrees. The IMD has also issued warning for Baleshwar, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Jharsuguda, Koraput and Rayagada for cold wave like conditions.
