Cong ally RSP unhappy over Opp’s performance against Vijayan govt’s misgovernance

Thiruvananthapuram:  With the Lok Sabha polls round the corner and the Pinarayi Vijayan government completing two-and-a-half years, the Revolutionary Socialist Party an ally of the Congress-led UDF Opposition is unhappy about the way things are moving forward, despite the abject failure of the Vijayan government.

Former state Labour Minister and state RSP chief Shibhu Baby John made his displeasure known over the Opposition not making the desired efforts to further expose the Vijayan government.

“The people of Kerala are thoroughly disgusted with the Vijayan government that has been in office since 2016. Every sector in the state has been badly affected due to misgovernance. However, the Opposition UDF has not taken advantage of the situation to get closer to the people,” said John.

John made it clear that he wanted the Opposition to make more forceful interventions and corner the Vijayan government that has been besieged by numerous scams.

“The UDF must do more than just issuing Press statements when a scam or problem surfaces. The people should be confident that the Opposition is serious about tackling misgovernance. The Opposition must ensure that all issues that matter to the people are taken up with more vigour,” added John, who said his party is coming out with a series of protests against the Vijayan government.
