COVID-19: No Mask No Entry, No Mask No Goods Norm Introduced in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday issued a fresh advisory asking the owners of business establishments to put appropriate signage ‘No Mask No Entry and No Mask No Goods’ at the entry point of their premises.

The owners of shops, stores and shopping malls shall not allow any staff or customers without face mask or face cover inside their premises, the BMC said in the advisory.

The civic body also urged the fuel refilling stations not to sell fuels to those customers who have not wear face mask/face cover appropriately.

There has been a sudden increase in number of newly detect COVID-19 positive cases within BMC area in the last fortnight which requires caution among the citizens of BMC.

Proper wearing of face mask and face cover is a key method to check the spread of COVID virus, said BMC Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange.

All citizens residing within BMC area as well as outside citizens coming to BMC area or present in BMC area are requested to wear face mask/face cover appropriately while in public places, he urged.
