Bhubaneswar: Taking a unique initiative on the occasion of the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) have teamed up to provide free rides for passengers on 50 Mo e-buses and e-rickshaws plying on various routes in the capital city.
“CRUT & BMC come together to celebrate International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies. Let’s embark on a journey to a cleaner, greener future! On 7th September’23, hop on Mo E-Bus & Mo E-Ride & pledge to contribute towards sustainability. Let’s pave the way for a green future.,” the CRUT informed through a social media post.
The International Day of Clean Air for blue skies is commemorated annually on 7 September in recognition of the fact that clean air is important for the health and day-to-day lives of people, while air pollution is the single greatest environmental risk to human health and one of the main avoidable causes of death and disease globally.
