New Delhi: Murali Sreeshankar has created history by becoming the first ever Indian athlete to win a medal in the Men’s Long Jump event at the Commonwealth Games. Murali won the silver medal at the Birmingham Commonwealth games 2022 with a best attempt of 8.08 meters. He recorded his best jump in the fifth attempt.
India’s Suresh Babu had won a Bronze Medal at the 1978 Commonwealth Games held at Edmonton Canada.
