Bhubaneswar: Legendary leader Biju Patnaik’s iconic Dakota aircraft will be displayed for public at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) from March 5, which is celebrated as Biju Jayanti and the Panchayati Raj Diwas in Odisha.
The State Government has decided to display the historic aircraft to the public from March 5, the day marks birth anniversary of former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik, as per reports.
The dismantled Dakota (DC-3) VT-AUI aircraft will be reassembled and then positioned at a designated place at the Biju Patnaik International Airport.
The iconic Dakota aircraft was brought to Odisha from Kolkata.
