Depression Intensifies Into Deep Depression In Bay of Bengal

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department has said that the Depression over east-central Bay of Bengal has intensified into a Deep Depression is currently at about 580 km northwest of Port Blair. It will further intensify into a cyclonic storm over central Bay of Bengal and cross Bangladesh coast between Tinkona Island and Sandwip around 25th October early morning. Due to the system, some parts of north coastal Odisha districts may experience rains from today afternoon for the next 48 hours.

The MET Department has issued yellow warning for Puri, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara districts which may receive heavy rains in some places. For tomorrow, the MET has said that Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Jajpur districts can experience heavy rains.
