DGP Reviews Law & Order in Sambalpur, Says Normalcy to Be Restored in a Day or Two

Sambalpur: Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Sunil Kumar Bansal on Saturday made ground level review of law and order situation in Sambalpur.

The DGP, along with Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) RK Sharma, Director(Intelligence) Sanjeev Panda, IG Sambalpur Deepak Kumar and other senior officials reviewed the situation.

The DGP said that the situation in Sambalpur is under control and the normalcy will be restored in a day or two.

As a precautionary measure to avoid untoward incident, sufficient forces have been deployed in the city. The curfew will be enforced strictly across the city except during relaxation period, he said.

No one will be allowed to disturb peace and order in the city, said the top cop while urging the people no need to panic over the situation.

The DGP further said that the curfew would be relaxed for four hours on Sunday in Sambalpur city in view of ASO and UPSC examinations.
