Dhenkanal: Junior Assistant at BEO Office Caught Red-Handed Accepting Bribe from Teacher

Dhenkanal: A junior assistant at BEO office in Dhenkanal district has been caught red-handed by the Vigilance officers on Wednesday for taking bribe from a teacher.

Bidhu Prasad Behera, Junior Assistant, O/o BEO, Bhuban in Dhenkanal has been apprehended by Odisha Viglance while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.5000 from a complainant (Teacher) in order to sanction her pending medical bills related to cancer treatment.

In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance PS Case has been registered against Behera.

Following trap, the house of Behera located at Barada (Gondia) and office room (BEO) at Bhuban, Dist. Dhenkanal are being searched.

Investigation is in progress, the vigilance said.
