Dhenkanal: A Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) in Dhenkanal district has come under the scanner of Vigilance Department for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known source of income.
Simultaneous house searches of Santosh Kumar Sahoo, PEO of Digha and Mathkargola GP under Bhuban Block, Dhenkanal are being conducted by the vigilance sleuths on Wednesday at five places in Dhenkanal district.
Five teams comprising 1 DSP, 7 Inspectors and other staff are conducting search on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by the Panchayat official.
A triple storeyed building and two single storeyed buildings at Kamakshya Nagar have been raided so far. Search is in progress the vigilance department said.
