Bhubaneswar: DSP In-Charge of Dhenkanal Sadar Police Station Abhinav Dalua, who was arrested for allegedly accepting bribe, was sent to jail on Saturday.
Dalua was sent to jail by the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Dhenkanal, after his police remand ended.
Earlier, the police official was arrested by the Vigilance sleuths while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 from a coal transporter to facilitate his transportation business.
He was taken on remand from September 8 to 10 by the vigilance for interrogation.
The vigilance had unearthed 14 landed properties of Dalua.
