Diarrhea Outbreak: Health Minister Asks Rayagada CDMO To Send Team Of Experienced Doctors to Kasipur
Bhubaneswar: Health Minister Naba Kishore Das has asked the Chief District Medical Officer of Rayagada to immediately send a team of experienced doctors to Kashipur as the situation getting more and more worrisome.
While six persons have reportedly lost their lives due to Diarrhea I the Block, hundreds have taken ill and are being treated in various hospitals. The Minister has asked the CDMO to take all measures to contain the disease and submit an action taken report within three days.
Meanwhile, Rayagada Collector Swadha Dev Singh today visited Dudukabahal, Jhodia street, Tikiri in Kashipur block with the CDMO, BDO and Tahasildar, Kashipur. She met the family members of the deceased persons and visited the Primary Health Center, Tikiri and UAIL Medical, Osapada and reviewed the situation and discussed about the treatment protocol, sanitation and hygiene measures to be taken.
She has instructed the authorities to reserve 30 beds UAIL Medical for any emergency. Health Teams are in the affected area and monitoring the situation around the clock.
