New Delhi: National Democratic Alliance nominee Droupadi Murmu has filled her nomination papers for the Presidential election today. She filed her nomination papers in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Cabinet Ministers, Chief Ministers of various BJP and NDA ruled states, and Ministers from Biju Janata Dal at the Parliament Building.
Droupadi Murmu is all set to become the next President of India as she has the support of not only the NDA members but also other parties including the Biju Janata Dal and YSR Congress party. Other political parties and independent members are also likely to support her candidature for the president’s post. She will be the first tribal President of the country and second woman to head the highest office of the nation.
