Berhampur: As a precautionary measure to prevent post-poll violence, hotels and dhabas in Ganjam district will remain closed after 8.30PM till the declaration of the election results on June 4.
This decision has been taken by the Ganjam District Police to maintain the law and order situation.
Ganjam SP Jagmohan Meena informed that the owners of hotels, tea stalls and dhabas have been asked to close their outlets by 8.30PM till June 4 as a precautionary measure to prevent post-poll violence.
The SP also urged the inspectors in-charge of police stations to ensure the closure of these outlets in their areas by 8.30 PM to maintain law and order.
