Boudh: An exchange of fire broke out between the SOG Jawans and Maoists in the Nalikumpa forest bordering Boudh and Kandhamal districts yesterday. According to sources, the incident happened under the Manmunda Police limits. A large Maoist dump including fire arms, explosives, landmines and other incriminating materials have also been found from the spot. The exchange of fire happened yesterday evening when the team of SOG Jawans was carrying out a search operation in the area. About 25 to 30 Maoists are said to have fled the place after the exchange of fire broke out. More details are awaited.
