Fake Medicines Case: Odisha Police Arrests Two From Bihar

Cuttack: The Odisha Police has arrested two persons from Gaya, Bihar in connection with the fake medicines case. A team of Commissionerate Police from Cuttack has arrested the accused and bring them on transit remand. The Commissionerate Police had earlier raided the Balaji Drugs Company in Bihar’s Gaya district in the fake medicines case and seized many important documents relating to the case.

As per reports, a four-member team that went to Bihar to investigate the case related to seizure of fake medicines worth Rs 53 lakh from Cuttack found important information about the modus operandi of the fake medicine network. The Police had earlier arrested two drugs dealers from Cuttack and seized huge amounts of fake medicines from them. The police is also investigating whether any other drugs companies or distributers are linked to the case.
