Family of Four Belonging To Odisha Missing In Nepal Plane Crash

Bhubaneswar: Four members of a family belonging to Odisha are among the 22 persons missing in a plane crash in Nepal today. The four persons have been identified as Ashok Kumar Tripathi, Dhanush Tripathi, Ritika Tripathi, and Vaibhawi Tripathi. While Ashok is a native of Subernapur, he works as a software engineer at Bhubaneswar, his wife Vaibhawi works in Mumbai and stays there with their two children. They had gone on a holiday tour to Nepal last week.

They had boarded the ill fated plane today morning at about 10 AM. The plane went off the radar after just few minutes of the flight. Nepalese authorities have conformed to the details of the missing persons. There were 22 persons in the aircraft including the crew members. There were four Indians, two Germans, 13 Nepalese passengers and a three-member Nepalese crew. The plane was on route from Pokhara to Jomsom, a popular tourist destination in Nepal.

While the aircraft has been located by the rescue teams in the mountainous Mustang area at Kowang village, rescue operations could not be started due to bad weather.
