Bhubaneswar: The much-awaited FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup India 2022 gets off to a spectacular start at the iconic Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
The inaugural programme of the FIFA World Cup was attended by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Ministers Anurag Thakur, Dharmendra Pradhan and Kiren Rijiju along with other dignitaries and senior officials.
With this, the Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar has become the first stadium in the country to host such a big and prestigious Football event.
On the inaugural day, Kalinga stadium witnessed two matches – first between Morocco and Brazil and the second between the between the hosts India and the USA.
Kalinga stadium will host all the group state matches featuring India against USA today, against Morocco on the 14th October and against Brazil on the 17th of October. Sixteen teams are participating in this tournament.
