Bhubaneswar: The first Biswa Odia Bhasha Sammilani will be held in February 2024.
A meeting of the State Heritage Cabinet was held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik regarding the organization of the Biswa Odia Bhasha Sammilani.
The three-day conference will be organized in Bhubaneswar. Linguists of national and international repute will be invited to address the thematic sessions of the conference. The students from all over the State will be widely involved. Special focus will be given for the promotion of Odia language among the youths. Educational institutions and universities will organize their own programs during the conference.
By hosting the first ever Biswa Odia Bhasha Sammilani, the propagation, dissemination and research work of the Odia language will be enhanced.
Odia Language, Literature & Culture Minister Aswini Kumar Patra, Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, Commissioner-Cum-Secretary of Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department Sujata Rout Karthikeyan elaborated the media about the decision of the State Heritage Cabinet.
