Fisheries Officer Apprehended for Taking from SHG in Sambalpur 

Sambalpur: A fisheries officer has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance for taking bribe from a SHG in Sambalpur district.

“Today, Snehalata Mohanty, Asst. Fisheries Officer, Naktideul, Sambalpur has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance for taking bribe Rs.20,000 in shape of unnamed Bank Cheque from a SHG for release of subsidy amount in the Scheme “Carp Grow-out in GP Tanks by WSHGS”, the Vigilance said.

A case has been registered with Sambalpur Vigilance PS U/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 in this connection. The investigation is in progress in the matter, the Vigilance stated.
