Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government on Wednesday announced the appointment of retired IPS officer and former DGP Abhay as Chairman of Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC).
A notification has been issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department in this regard.
The tenure of appointment of Abhay will be for a period of five years from the date of taking charge of the post or till he attains the age of sixty two years whichever is earlier in accordance with the provisions of rule-4 (I ) of the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service of the Chairman and Members) Rules, 1 995, the notification reads.
