Berhampur: In a tragic road accident, four persons were killed and over 20 injured at Samarjhola Chakka under Hinjili police limits in Ganjam district this morning.
The mishap took place when an oil tanker collided with a passenger bus.
The passenger bus was on its way to Berhampur from Aska, the oil tanker was going from Berhampur to Aska.
In order to overtake a truck in front of it, the oil tanker collided with the passenger bus.
The impact of the collision was so severe that the oil tanker overturned on a roadside tea shop.
Three persons, who were having tea at the tea stall died and one passenger of the bus also lost his life.
Traffic has been disrupted on this road following the accident.
