Ganjam Collector Issues SOP for COVID-19 Management, Urges to Open Separate Fever Clinics in All Hospitals
Chatrapur: In view of surge in the COVID-19 cases, Ganjam Collector Dibya Jyoti Parida has issued a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to contain spread of the virus in the district.
The Ganjam Collector has called for opening of separate fever clinics in all the hospitals in the district with deployment of dedicated manpower.
The superintendent of CHCs/SDH/DHH will ensure opening of and deployment of dedicated manpower for fever clinics, he said.
In the SOP, Parida has stressed the need for establishment of isolation wards in all public health facilities, increasing daily testing of COVID suspected cases, screening and fever surveillance of all residential schools, immediate activation of RRT team at the CHC and BeMC level for surveillance and management of COVID-19, and sensitization of all field level staffs.
The Ganjam Collector also urged all to follow COVID appropriate behavior, such as hand sanitization, wearing of mask and maintaining of social distancing at least 6 feet from one another.
