Ganjam: Jr. Clerk, Data Entry Operator at Drugs Inspector Office Apprehended for Taking Bribe 

Berhampur: A junior clerk and data entry operator at the Office of Drugs Inspector Ganjam Range-1, Berhampur have been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while accepting bribe of Rs 25,000 from medicine store manager for issue of order in favor of him for change of site of the medicine shop.

The junior clerk has been identified as Jayanata Ku Mallick and data entry operator as Premanjana Swain.

The entire bribe money has been recovered from accused Jayanta Ku Mallick.

Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at office room of junior clerk and rest room of data entry operator, located at O/o Drugs Inspector, Ganjam Range-1, Berhampur, rented house of Jr. Clerk located at 10th line of Gajapati Nagar, Berhampur from DA angle.

In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance PS case No 23/2022 U/s 7PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered.

Investigation is in progress against both the accused, Vigilance said.
