Berhampur: Vigilance sleuths on Friday arrested a revenue official in Ganjam district for allegedly taking bribe from a retired paramilitary person in a mutation case.
N. Jagadish Rao, Senior Revenue Assistant at the office of Hinjilicut Tahasil was apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.10,000 from the retired paramilitary person in order to process his mutation case record for issuance of RoR (Patta) in favor of him.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from accused N.Jagadish Rao and seized.
In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance PS Case has been registered. The investigation is in progress against Rao, the Vigilance said.
