Gopalpur Becomes Second City in India to Achieve 24×7 ‘Drink from Tap Facility’

Berhampur/Bhubaneswar: In a rare feat, Gopalpur in Odisha’s Ganjam district has become the second city in the country to have drink-from-tap facility.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday dedicated 24×7 ‘Drink from Tap’ facility in Gopalpur covering all 11 wards in the NAC.

The residents of Gopalpur now have safe drinking water that can be used directly from tap under Sujal mission.

Puri is the first city in India to provide 24-hour clean drinking water after the Chief Minister launched the facility in the city last year.
