Grand Ram Temple Atop 1600 Feet Hill In Nayagarh To Be Inaugurated Today

Nayagarh: While the whole country is celebrating the Pran Pratistha of Ram Lala in Ayodhya, this village in Odisha’s Nayagarh District has its own reason for celebrations. Fategarh Village in Nayagarh is going to get its own Ram Mandir atop a 1600 feet hill amidst lush greenery and enchanting view. The Temple is scheduled to be inaugurated today by the Sankaracharya of Puri and Gajapati Maharaja Dibya Singha Dev will be present. Thousands of people from across the district have started arriving at the temple to witness the inauguration.

Puri Shankaracharya Swami Sri Nischalananda Saraswati will have the first darshan of Ram after the inauguration of the Temple. Beautiful sculptures made on stone masonry are the highlights of this temple situated on the hill. The Temple has been built by the villagers of Fatehgarh and the Shri Ram Seva Parishad with their own capital. More than 150 artisans from across the state and outside the state worked tirelessly for five years to build the Ram temple. Built on the pattern of Rekha, Bhadra, Mohan, the temple is about 165 feet high. The temple is entirely built with rare Baulamala stones. The entire area is reverberating with Jay Shri Ram.
