Bhubaneswar: Ranjita Rani Pradhan, the granddaughter of freedom fighter, prominent leader of Praja Mandal movement and former Deputy Chief Minister Late Pabitra Mohan Pradhan, met 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian here on Wednesday.
During the meeting, she has expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for taking several initiatives to preserve the memory Pabitra Mohan Pradhan.
The Chief Minister has decided to establish a memorial museum in the name of Pabitra Mohan Pradhan along with a bridge over the Brahmani River in Talcher, Pabitra Mohan Medical College and a life-size statue of the freedom fighter in Bhubaneswar.
All these initiatives have been implemented under the direct supervision of 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian.
The Pabitra Mohan Memorial Samiti has expressed its deep satisfaction over the works. On behalf of the Samiti, the granddaughter of Pabitra Mohan, Ranjita Rani Pradhan and other members met 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian at Naveen Niwas.
Expressing their gratitude to the Chief Minister, they said that the State Government’s initiatives to honor the memory of Pabitra Mohan will keep his memory alive forever.
The 5T Chairman said that the Chief Minister has deep respect for the great sons of the soil. The State Government has always taken steps to preserve their memories, he added.
Pabitra Mohan is a role model for the youth of the State. The Government is working with commitment to preserve his memory, the 5T Chairman further stated.
