Puri: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the Brundabati Niwas in Puri on the occasion of the beginning of Kartika Brata by the Habisyali mothers.
The Chief Minister welcomed them and announced for gifting of free shawls to all Habisyalis. He hoped that the Habisyali mothers will perform the Kartika Brata happily and prayed for the blessings of Lord Jagannath for them, for their family members and the people of Odisha.
On this occasion, three Habisyali mothers – Ganjam’s Urmila Patnaik, Mayurbhanj’s Sabitri Bindhani and Puri’s Dalimani Naidu narrated their opinions about the new facilities being provided by the government. They said that the Chief Minister has made available all these facilities for them and there is no problem with regard to their fooding and lodging. They also prayed to Lord Jagannath for a long life for the Chief Minister.
School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Das, Sports and Youth Services Minister Tusharkanti Behera, Tourism Minister Ashwini Patra, and Member of Parliament from Puri Pinaki Mishra spoke on the occasion and said that the Chief Minister has always worked for the welfare of the people of the state.
