Mumbai: HDFC Bank Country Heads Arvind Vohra and Smita Bhagat met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the Odisha Investors’ Meet in Mumbai on Wednesday.
The HDFC Bank Country Heads discussed about bank’s major expansion plans in Odisha.
HDFC Bank, which is the country’s leading private sector lender, has plans to add 40 more branches, 40 ATMs and a Mega Currency Chest at Sambalpur in Odisha.
The lender will also add 100 banking correspondence in the State.
During the discussion with the Chief Minister, the HDFC Bank Country Heads informed that the bank will focus more on MSME , lending to women SHGs and agricultural lending in Odisha.
HDFC Bank has been doing leading CSR activities in Odisha and will also undertake few more new projects in Odisha in this financial year.
The bank will be generating 600 employment in this year in Odisha.
Sandeep S Kumar, Branch Banking Head , East, Deepak Kumar Singh , Zonal Head Odisha and Animesh Biswal , Cluster Head were also present in the meeting.
The Chief Minister is holding discussions with the prominent industrialists in Mumbai to attract investment in Odisha.
