Heat Wave Conditions Continue To Paralyse Normal Life In State; Orange Warning Issued To Ten Districts

Bhubaneswar: Heat wave conditions continue to grip many districts of Odisha today. The Meteorological Department has issued Orange warning for ten districts that are likely to see high temperatures today. Orange warning has been issued to 10 districts and yellow warning to 11 districts today for heat wave. Nyagarh, Boudh, Anugul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Sundergarh, Sambalpur, Sonpur and Jharsuguda districts have been issued the Orange warning. Similarly, yellow warnng has been issued for 11 districts. Though there was some respite from the scorching heat in many places due to Kalabaisakhi rains in coastal Odisha yesterday, the situation in other parts of the state remained unchanged. Fifteen cities of Odisha recorded temperatures of 44 degrees or more. Talcher was the hottest city with 45 degrees Celsius. The weather department has predicted that the temperature will drop by 2 to 5 degrees Celsius in the state after three days.
