Heatwave Sweeps Odisha: 30 Places Record Temperature above 42 Degree Celsius  

Bhubaneswar: Severe heatwave has swept across Odisha with temperatures hitting over 42 degree Celsius in 30 places in the State on Wednesday.

As per the Regional Meteorological Centre, Baripada is the hottest place with the highest day temperature of 44.5 degree Celsius.

Other places where severe heatwave condition prevailed include Nuapada (44.4 degree Celsius), Bolangir (44.0 degree Celsius), Boudh (43.9 degree Celsius), Talcher (43.8 degree Celsius), Angul (43.7 degree Celsius), Jharsuguda (43.6 degree Celsius), Rourkela (43.3 degree Celsius), Sambalpur (43.2 degree Celsius), Titilagarh (43.1 degree Celsius), Sundargarh (43 degree Celsius) , Sonepur (42.5 degree Celsius), Bhubaneswar (42.5 degree Celsius), Bhawanipatna ( 42.5 degree Celsius), Hirakud (42.4 degree Celsius), Cuttack (42.2 degree Celsius), Nayagarh (42 degree Celsius), Parlakhemundi (41.8 degree Celsius) and Kendrapara (41.8 degree Celsius).
