Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) today alerted that several parts in Odisha are likely to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall for the next five days.
According to the latest IMD bulletin, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nawarangpur, Gajapati, Rayagada, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj during the next 24 hours.
Besides, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Kalahandi, Nawarangpur, Nuapada, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, and Deogarh during the same period.
Heavy rainfall may occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Koraput, Nawarangpur, and Kalahandi on Day 2.
Besides, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Malkangiri, Jharsuguda, and Nawarangpur during the same period.
While heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kendrapara Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Cuttack, Puri, Dhenkanal, and Nayagarh, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Deogarh, Boudh, Ganjam, Jajpur, Balasore, Angul on Day 3.
Besides, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Khurda, Puri, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Ganjam, and Gajapati during the same period.
Similarly, heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Deogarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Angul, Bargarh with heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the
districts of Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Balasore, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Bolangir, and Jharsuguda.
Further, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Boudh, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bargarh, and Sonepur.
