Bhubaneswar: Keeping in view the warning issued by the Indian Meteorological Department for heavy to very rains in the coming days in Odisha, Special Relief Commissioner Satyabrata Sahu, has asked all the District Collectors and Municipal Commissioners to remain alert and prepared. It is expected that the state will receive heavy rains from 15th to 19th July due to the cyclonic system emerging in the Bay of Bengal. All low laying areas are expected to see water logging and flooding. The Collectors have also been ordered not to leave the headquarters and stay prepared to face any eventual situation due to the rains. Orders have also been issued to shift people from the low laying areas to safer places in the urban areas and use water pumps to drain rain water.
