Bhubaneswar: The Netherlands team that will participate in the Odisha Hockey World Cup 2023 has arrived in Bhubaneswar today morning. The team members were given a rousing welcome at the Biju Patnaik International Airport.
The team will reach Rourkela on the 10th of this and will play their first match of the World Cup on the 14th January at the new Birsha Munda International Hockey Stadium against Malaysia. With the mega event of FIH World Cup remaining just nine days, all teams are expected to land in the next few days at Bhubaneswar.
Netherlands was the runners up in the last edition of the Hockey World Cup held at Bhubaneswar in 2018.
