Holding On To The Roots of Media Ethics and Promoting Democratic Values Can Show The Right Direction: CM Naveen At Prameya Annual Function
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has said that in the current times, Media is omnipresent. Its presence is massive, and the amount of information it directs at people is mind-boggling. It’s really a difficult time both for the news presenters and consumers. In this context, holding on to the roots of media ethics, searching for truth, and promoting democratic values can show the right direction. Every responsible media house needs to focus on real issues of people, rather than run for frivolous things. He was speaking at the annual function of the leading Odia Newspaper Prameya.
He also said that, “As you know, Odisha is making massive strides in the development front with visible transformation in many sectors. In the background of a strong social security system, we are now on the verge of witnessing an economic boom. In the recently held Make-in-Odisha-3.0, we have received investment intents of a humongous Rs 10.5 lakh crore. This has the potential to create over 10 lakh jobs. And then, there is the multiplier effect on economy too. We need the support of our people from every sector of society including media. Let’s work together for an empowered, happy and prosperous Odisha.”
He congratulated the Prameya and News 7 family on this occasion and said that as a leading media house, they are playing a responsible role and have won the trust of the people belonging to various sections and areas.
