HWC 2023: Spectacular Opening Ceremony at Barabati Stadium Tomorrow 

Cuttack: A spectacular inaugural ceremony will be held at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack tomorrow as the precursor event to the opening of Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023 for the second consecutive time in Odisha.

All the preparations have been completed for organizing the colorful ceremony with a star-studded cast lined up for all manner of performances, songs, dances, and technology; all while incorporating the cultural aspects of Odisha.

The show will feature live performances by the country’s popular stars including Ranveer Singh and Disha Patani along with BLACKSWAN, the famous K-Pop band featuring Odisha’s very own Shreya Lenka.

Amongst the stars is Pritam, the writer and composer of the Hockey World Cup 2023 Song, who will take the stage and enthrall the audience.

Odisha will showcase its vibrant culture to the globe. Traditional and folk artists of the State will also perform at Barabati Stadium.

Elaborate arrangements have been made for 30,000 spectators at the opening ceremony. Tight security arrangements have been made for the inauguration ceremony. About 50 platoons of police force are being deployed in the stadium and its surrounding area.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has invited Chief Ministers of all States for the Hockey World Cup.
