Bhubaneswar: Following the death of a Russian engineer at Paradip Port in Jagatsinghpur district, Odisha Director General of Police Sunil Kumar Bansal has indicated the possibility of Crime Branch probe into the incident.
“If required a Crime Branch probe will be ordered”, said the DGP.
The top cop also informed that an investigation is underway to ascertain whether there is a conspiracy behind the incident.
Milyakov Sergey (51), a Russian national and the chief engineer of the vessel, M. B. Aldnah, died in suspicious condition on the ship that was on the anchorage at the Paradip port late last night.
The ship was on its way to Mumbai from Chittagong Port in Bangladesh via Paradip, as per reports.
