Jajpur: The Odisha Vigilance today apprehended the District Employment Officer, Jajpur for taking bribe towards hiring and fuel cost of vehicle engaged for official purpose.
The tainted official has been identified as Tapas Kumar Swain.
Swain was caught by the vigilance sleuths while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.12,600 through Jitendra Kumar Sethy, Jr.Clerk of his office, towards hiring and fuel cost of vehicle engaged for official purpose.
In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance PS case No.47/22 U/s 7 PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. The investigation is in progress, the Vigilance said.
