Phulbani: At least two persons were killed and 27 sustained injuries after the bus they were travelling in overturned on the side of the road near Phiringia in Odisha’s Kandhamal district on Tuesday evening.
As per reports, the bus coming from Muniguda to Phubani lost its control and overturned at the Kaliasahi village under the Phiringia police limit.
The bus conductor and a college student died on the spot.
About 27 people were injured in the accident. Five persons with minor injuries have been admitted to Phiringia hospital and 22 persons have been admitted to district headquarters hospital in Phulbani.
On being informed, the fire services team and police immediately reached to the spot for the rescue operation.
