Kartik Pandian Holds Marathon Campaign in Balasore Lok Sabha Constituency

Bhubaneswar: Senior BJD leader Kartik Pandian on Tuesday held marathon campaign in different Assembly constituencies under Balasore Lok Sabha seat to seek support his party candidates in the ensuing simultaneous elections.

During the campaign trail, the BJD star campaigner has slammed the BJP and drew attention of the people towards the inefficiencies of the Central Government in various fields in the last 10 years.

He said that the BJP-led central government had promised to provide two crore jobs every year and twenty crore jobs in ten years. Odisha’s share would have been 80 lakh and the share of Balasore would have been 6 lakh. Nilgiri’s share would have been 1 lakh. Pandian asked who got central government jobs from Nilgiri.

Price control is the biggest responsibility of the central government. Has the price of pulses decreased? Did oil prices go down? Pandian asked the people whether the LPG prices have been reduced. The central government has completely failed in controlling the prices, the senior BJD leader alleged.

The senior BJD leader asked, “You had elected an MP from here. Has he done anything for you? Did the MP cooperate in the transformation works of schools, temples, masjids, churches, etc.?

He further alleged that the BJP is conspiring to stop the welfare schemes like Mission Shakti, BSKY and Nua-O. “We will never let this happen”, he declared.

Kartik Pandian said that the Biju Janata Dal and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik believe in works, not in words. The Chief Minister has sent him to the people to give an account of the works being done for the development of Balasore.

While the Chief Minister has sanctioned Rs 16 crore for the development of Panchalingeswar Temple, Rs 1 crore for Nilgiri Jagannath Temple and Rs 270 crore for Shalandi left canal to further accelerate the pace of development in Nilgiri.

The opposition leaders have lost their sleep after hearing about the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on June 9, Pandian said.

The opposition leaders are disrespecting our popular Chief Minister, using abusive language, he said while urging people to give them a befitting reply.
