Kendrapada: All 70 Passengers Of Drifted Boat In Mahanadi Rescued

Kendrapada: All the 70 passengers of the boat that drifted away in the flood waters of the Mahanadi river on the way to Bahakuda Jetty have been rescued unhurt. The Boat carrying about 70 passenger was going to Bahakuda in Kendrapada district from Paradip when it drifted a few kilometers due to engine failure.

All the passengers have been rescued and brought to the Kharinasi and Bahakud jetty points by a team of Fire officials, Jamboo Marine police and local boatsmen. All passengers are safe and have reached the landmass near the ghats. Senior officials including Mahakalpada BDO, Tahasildar, IIC and other officials reached the spot and supervised the rescue efforts.
