Kendrapara to Witness Rapid Development in Various Fields

Kendrapara: The pace of development will be further accelerated in Kendrapara district. On the instruction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian has reviewed various development projects relating to different sectors on his second day visit to Kendrapara district. The 5T Secretary directed the officials to take necessary steps for the progress of projects.

Pandian has visited Lakhmi Varaha temple in Aul, Jagannath Temple in Keradagarh and Baya Baba Matha. He held discussions with the temple committee members, devotees and local people about the beautification and development of these religious sites and asked the district Collector to prepare DPR in this regard.

He also visited a rehabilitation project in Bagapatia village of Satavaya Panchayat. The people, who settled here, have built a Panchubarahi temple. The 5T Secretary directed for further development and beautification of this temple.

The 5T Secretary met the representatives and students of various government and government-aided colleges at the district Sanskruti Bhavan. He asked the Collector to prepare a proposal regarding the infrastructure development and other facilities of the colleges as per the needs.

The 5T Secretary also reviewed the progress of under construction spur work at Bhatpada in Rajnagar Block along with other developmental works. He urged the local engineers to immediately implement the repair work of the Keredagada -Alatanga saline embankment on the south bank of the Hansua river.

He visited the community health centers in Rajkanika and Rajnagar blocks and took stock of healthcare services, patient care system and other facilities. He held discussions with the department officials, patients and their families regarding further development of the health centres. Pandian also expressed his happiness that two community health centres have received Kayakalpa awards. He also visited the medical canteen run by Managed by Maa Mangala SHG in Aul Community Health Centre. He discussed with the SHG members about the functioning of the canteen and advised them to provide more nutritious and healthy food to the patients.

Pandian also visited a football stadium in Aul. He expressed happiness that the stadium played a major role in creating four national level players. He asked the district Collector to prepare a project report for further improvement of this stadium.

Pandian also visited Taras High School and Badapalli High School, both the schools have been transformed during the second phase of the 5T High School Transformation programme. He interacted with the teachers, students, parents and members of the school management committees about the various facilities at the schools.

The 5T Secretary also met the students of various colleges of the district at Sanskruti Bhavan and discussed about the development of their colleges.

Special Secretary to CM, R. Vineel Krishna, Kendrapara Collector Amrit Ruturaj and other officials were present during the 5T Secretary’s visit.
