Keonjhar Admin Launches ‘Alternative Learning Project’ to Develop Digital Literacy among Primary School Students
Keonjhar: With an aim to develop digital literacy at the beginning of schooling life, the Keonjhar district administration has launched the “Alternative Learning Project” at Darbar Hall, Collectorate here on Tuesday.
The innovative project aims at Integration and inculcation of Digital Technology into teaching and learning of students in primary education. It promotes a culture of early-stage IT use and practice in ways suitable to students’ developmental level to improve the learning outcomes.
The initiative will be piloted in 20 schools of Sadar and Banspal Block, supported by DMF Keonjhar. This initiative will further support the students of Class-4 & 5 to perform well in National Achievement Survey -2024
The project was launched in the presence of Principal Advisor (Education) to Chief Minister, Upendra Tripathy and Keonjhar Collector Ashish Thakare.
Among others present were Ashok Kamath, Chairman, Akshara Foundation, Ranjita Pattnaik , State Lead, Akshara Foundation, Prasant Swain, Additional Director (Quality) during the launching event.
