Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra on Saturday visited Koraput district and reviewed various development projects.
After reaching Jeypore, the Chief Secretary visited Gupteswar Temple, one of the most famous Shiv pithas of the State. The Government has taken steps for the overall development of this famous shrine. He reviewed the progress of the master plan for the development of the temple and various facilities for devotees in its premises. He held discussion with the temple staff and the administration about the master plan.
The Chief Secretary has also visited the district headquarters hospital and reviewed the progress of 300 bedded new DHH building and instructed officials to complete the work in time.
The Chief Secretary also reviewed the expansion of the Jeypore airport. He asked the district administration to streamline the land acquisition process. He also reviewed the development works at Kolab Dam for eco-tourism.
Koraput Collector Abdaal M. Akhtar and other district administration officers were present during the Chief Secretary’s visit.
