Kuldeep Sahu Wins First Gold for Odisha at IWLF National Weightlifting Championships

Bhubaneswar: Odisha lifter Kuldeep Sahu won the gold medal at the IWLF National Weightlifting Championships, 2021-22 here on Thursday.

It is the first gold for Odisha at the Championships.

Kuldeep bagged the gold in the 73 kg Youth Category.

Earlier, Susant Sahu won the bronze medal in the 67 kg Inter State Men’s Category.

Indian Weightlifting Federation (IWLF) in association with Odisha Weightlifting Association with support from Sports and Youth Services department of Odisha government is conducting the event, which will continue till March 31.

Over 1300 athletes, support staff and technical officials from 30 States and UTs are taking part in the Championships.
