Bhubaneswar: Several places in Odisha are likely to witness light to moderate rain and thundershower over the next five days, said theIndia Meteorological Department (IMD).
Southwest monsoon has been active over Odisha. During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain and thundershower has occurred at most places over the districts of the State with heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Sonepur, Mayurbhanj, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Cuttack, Boudh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Nayagarh, Angul, Koraput, Bargarh, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Bolangir and Keonjhar, the IMD stated in a bulletin.
Day 1: (Valid up to 0830 Hrs IST of 5.8.23)
Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of interior Odisha and at a few places over the districts of coastal Odisha.
Day 2 to Day 5 (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 5.8.23 to 0830 Hrs IST of 8.8.23)
Light to Moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha.
However, the IMD has not issued heavy rainfall warning for Odisha during the same period.
