Bhubaneswar: Leader of Opposition Jayanarayan Mishra has been issued a notice to appear before a court here in connection with the 2018 Dilewar Sahu murder case.
As many as 12 accused including the BJP leader have been asked to appear before the court on March 17 in connection with the case. Bhubaneswar Additional Sessions Judge has issued the notice, as per reports.
Jayanarayan Mishra has been one of the accused in connection with murder of Dileswar Sahu during the 2018 Bijepur by-election. Mishra has been on conditional bail from the High Court in this case.
Alleging that the BJP leader has violated the bail conditions of the High Court, a petition was filed in the court. The petitioner has stated that Mishra is not appearing the court citing illness, but he is getting involved in various party programmes, rallies and dharnas.
Jayanarayan Mishra has been given a notice to appear before the court on March 17.
Similarly, Mishra has been an accused in the attack on the Jharbandh IIC in Paikamal block in 2010. The court will be hearing the case on March 23.
