Low Pressure Formed Over South Andaman Sea

Bhubaneswar: Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over South Andaman Sea and neighbourhood, a Low Pressure Area has formed over South Andaman Sea & adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal. It is very likely to move northwestwards and intensify into a Depression during the next 48 hours.

The Low Pressure is expected to move northwestwards and intensifying into a depression by Sunday. Due to its influence, Andaman & Nicobar Islands will witness heavy rainfalls till Sunday.

Coastal states of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal will also witness heavy rains with the system intensifying and forming a Cyclone which will be named as Asani.
